Sunday 11th October 2020...last tennis match for a while!!!

So this afternoon I went to the train station in Paris to catch the train to the airport and start my long journey back to Mexico.....

That was the plan before Covid struck!!!

Dogs fed and walked, yard swept and all done by 8 am

so I could watch what classed as an epic tennis final between two of the worlds greatest players........

It seemed someone forgot to wake up Novak, he was easily beaten!!!

Rafael Nadal has joined Roger Federer on 20 career Grand Slam titles.

The legendary Spaniard completed his second ten-set of major victories with a dominant performance over Novak Djokovic, winning in straight sets (6-0, 6-2, 7-5).

Astonishingly, it marked Nadal's 13th gong at Roland Garros and his 100th win in the Parisian competition, solidifying his status as the sport's greatest ever player on clay.

The GOAT debate

However, the debate rages on as to whether Nadal should be viewed as tennis' GOAT across all surfaces and things couldn't be any more finely poised after drawing level with Federer.

Federer has the more varied selection of titles with eight of his victories coming at Wimbledon, six at the Australian Open, five at the US Open and a solitary triumph in the French Open.

Nadal, meanwhile, has propelled himself into the conversation with his Parisian dominance, while four US Open titles, two Wimbledon wins and a lone Australian Open triumph complete the set.

It's astonishing to think we live in an era where two players have been able to reach such a dizzying number of Grand Slam victories and sparked such debate about their respective greatness.

Federer shows his class

But one thing is for certain and that's that both players have the upmost respect for each other, showing the world a perfect model of sportsmanship between rival stars.

Need any proof? Well, you needn't look any further than Federer showing his class across his social media channels with a congratulatory message for Nadal's performance in the French Open.

You can check out his heartfelt note attached to his posts down below:

A tribute from a true gentleman!!

I then decided to bbq the chicken breast I bought for my Thanksgiving Neal tomorrow.....you can just see that look in Negrita’s eye..thinking do not leave those unattended!!
