Friday 30th September 2016...ending the month on a walking day!!

The last day of September where did this month go??

Walked into town and past the lovely church

and then used Malc's bus pass to get into Hull...
I saw something that I thought went out of fashion years ago and I have not see since I was a kid, not great shots of the Rag and Bone Man!!!!

Walked around town and did a bit of shopping and treated myself to a new back pack and a soccer shirt!!!

Came home and then took Poppy for a long walk she is a lovely dog but she has a hard time seeing now....
Back home and changed and then went on my usual almost 4 mile walk around and into the country and just took these what i think are peaceful and tranquil shots!!!!
I hopped over the railway crossing and had to laugh because of the gate I went through on Wednesday at the train station the fine for not closing that gate was 2 pound....here slightly steeper!!!!

Enjoyed the walk.

Janet made another classic and fantastic meal...into the tub and then Malc and I going to settle down and watch a live and very important Rugby game......

Thursday 29th September 2016...another trip down that memory road and time for you to meet Aunt Rita and Uncle Bram!!!

Today I headed 50 miles to Doncaster the town where I was born.....and here is the building where I was born!!!

and this was where as a baby I came home to...
and this was my Mum and Dad's last home they both passed away quietly in their sleep here Mum in 1995 and Dad in 2006!!!
I always visit here when I come to Doncaster
and have a little chat with them...not clear but I think you can read it!!!
The next stop was to visit the home where my Pearson Grandparents lived!!!
This home has been recently updated and that building in the back was not there before...
Then is was off to see the home of my Grandparents on my Mum's side..we all used to go here every Tuesday afternoon for tea!!!
This area is where my Dad used to spend his childhood days!!!

It is so lovely and peaceful here...
Narrow boats that you can hire...
This could be a post card!!!!

I then went to visit my Aunt Rita and Uncle Bram......they are a lovely couple and Bram is my Dad's younger brother if you ever want to know what my dad looked like just look at Bram below   ...my Dad was just the same!!!!!
We had a great afternoon of just talking about events present and past....
Don't they look great???

Anybody like my hair cut??

So how old do you think they are???

In the next three months Rita will turn 87 years young and Bram a milestone will be 90 years!!!!  How fabulous!!!!

We went into town and had a lovely fish and chip dinner....and then I drove home.....Great to see you both and I taught them how to look at my blog so I hope they see this tomorrow!!!!

Wednesday 28th September 2016...first all aboard and then BAKE OFF!!!!!!

Today was an hour's drive into the North Yorkshire Moors where we boarded this train for an hour's ride...

It was a scenic drive and then we arrived at...

This is a lovely little village where a very famous British show called Heartbeat was filmed....it was based around a police man!!!

All through the streets the sheep and rams roam....
I went off on my own and found this hike..
I learned later on Sam and Malc also went down and this is Sam's photo of the wispy thin waterfall!!!

You know I always like arrows...
It was a great hike...
Who are you looking at??
Went inside the lovely old church...
and I like this sign!!!
Here we go back home...
taken out the window...
OK here is a contest who is the cutest sleeping beauty?????

Malc

or me??????
What a nice and different day and of course home in time to watch BAKE OFF...Janet and I were glued to the screen(can you believe that?).....

Tuesday 27th September 2016.....do you ever...

get a song in your head in the morning and it stays with you through out the whole day??

Often happens to me and today because we are going to the seaside this song is mine today!!!

Oh, I Do Like to be Beside the Seaside

Written by: John A. Glover-Kind, Copyright: Unknown

Oh! I do like to be beside the seaside
I do like to be beside the sea!
I do like to stroll upon the Prom, Prom, Prom!
Where the brass bands play: "Tiddely-om-pom-pom!"

So just let me be beside the seaside
I'll be beside myself with glee
For there's lots of girls besides,
I should like to be beside
Beside the seaside! Beside the sea!

IF you Google the song title in You Tube and the one with the colored fish comes up play it and I guarantee it will stay with you too!!!
Sam joined us again today and we drove about an hour to the lovely town of.....

where we walked the length of the beach and then onto the cliffs...
on the way out at low tide
and when we returned a few hours later...
When I was a kid my parents used to bring me here for the day we would play football on the beach and I would rent a fishing pole and spend hours here...
doing this...
Bridlington is a big lobster port!!
We first walked along the sea wall

by the beach huts..
and then along the cliff tops...

Looking back towards town...
Pretty views!!!
At the end we stopped into a restaurant for lunch and they decided to take the mini train back to town and I walked!!!
We had a lovely day out no sunshine but not cold and no rain!!!
Tonight Janet, Sam and I went to the movies..I cannot remember the last time I went to the movies...we watched the new release Bridgette Jones Baby movie...it was light and fun and I have never been in a room with so many women only bout 4 men in attendance definitely a "Chick movie"!!!!
