Sunday 17th May 2020...Day 90!!!!

So this morning after breakfast Malc and I said goodbye to Janet and we were on our way for the Brothers road trip.

We drove this route from Hull to Dover...

Where we boarded the cross channel ferry to Calais, France!!!

The first stop on our ten day tour of France was to visit some of the cemeteries in Normandy to see if we could locate the grave of our Grandma’s first husband...

This would have been today’s post if it was not for the virus!!!

Rain put a damper on everything today, no tennis and I did manage to get a short walk in with Boomer!!

Spent a lot of time listening to the news and this tragedy...

At least one person has died after an aerobatic Canadian air force jet crashed into a residential neighbourhood while doing a flyover.

Another crew member was seriously injured when the plane hit a house in the city of Kamloops, British Columbia.

One pilot was able to eject before the crash on Sunday, video showed.

The Snowbirds jet had been on a tour "to salute Canadians doing their part to fight the spread of Covid-19", according to the team's website.

The Snowbirds perform aerobatic stunts for the public, similar to Red Arrows in the UK or the US Blue Angels.

The crash happened on Sunday morning, shortly after the jet took off.

"It is with heavy hearts that we announce that one member of the CF Snowbirds team has died and one has sustained serious injuries," the Royal Canadian Air Force said in a tweet.

They were not actually doing a show but on their way here to the island to perform what they have dubbed Operation Inspiration as they have been flying all over the country giving hope and thanks to the first responders, such a tragic loss of life!!!

Stay safe and healthy!!

Yashi Kochi!!
