You have to admit that in jolly olde England one can find a lot of beauty, peace, and serenity; one needs that when the rest of the world has gone mad. Your photos reflect that.

Sorry about your credit card. We have carried one credit/cash card for years and years. Over that time, our card has been compromised at least three times, one time in Maui, HI, another in Sieverville, TN, and another in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, all of them in restaurants. This last time in Ft. Lauderdale really got my ire up because after spending a few days in Lauderdale, we were leaving on a cruise and, as you know, the cruise line requires that you give them a credit card prior to boarding in order to present you with a ship card for account charging/cabin key. I had to get Chase Bank to FedEx me a new card in FL. Thank goodness we had the time for that to happen before the ship sailed. We have learned our lesson; therefore, when we returned home, I applied for an additional card from Chase with Beach as primary debt holder. I simply don't like a lot of credit cards, but I now see the need to have at least two. Upon investigation, all three thefts occurred as a result of skimming the cards, and I remember distinctly that the waitresses took a long time in bringing the cards back to our tables. In addition, I went shopping and purchased both of us an RFID protected wallet to carry the cards (these wallets can cost between $25 to $50US). The new scam is standing in line at a register to pay and someone behind you in line can read your personal information in your wallet with a scanner; RFID protected wallets prevent that. In your case, you might have to open a small account at another bank in order to apply for an extra credit/cash card.
