Big Sunday road trip today first to the huge city of Queretaro where we parked outside the city and took a cab into the centre.
The city is famous for the aqueduct which has 74 towering arches and runs 1.28km built in 1735 and still brings water into the city. We then went on a “Pearson guided walking tour” and here are some of the sights.
After a slight detour of the inner city for 20 minutes..OK OK some may choose to call it getting lost, we got back on the road for our next destination.
This sleepy lovely little town is the home to the third largest monolith in the world after Ayers Rock in Australia and the Rock of Gibraltar.
We were driving through hilly countryside when suddenly we round the next bend and there is this great big ROCK!!!
This little town is very laid back and lovely, we soon parked the car close to the main square and off we went on another walking tour.
In the main square this beautiful church.
We took this trolley tour which was cool!
Now the time for you to put your imagination to use…look at these following photos and try to conjure up these sights whilst listening to beautiful classical music. The whole main square area was resinating with this piped in music from some where, magical!!
The Pearson boys haven’t met an ice cream stall or bike they didn’t like. Interesting how they keep the ice cream frozen!
We all really enjoyed this town and the knowledge that we had shared yet again another incredible sight.
Malc very expertly navigated us to the next stop.
Again a remarkable town square.
I like this photo with the fountain in the foreground
Pretty soon time to leave and spotted these birds on the way home.
We got back home around 8pm after a great day. Janet spoiled us with her famous sponge pudding(OK maybe it was out of a can) and hot custard!!
I truly am trying to figure out a way to say this without being repetitious and boring but there is no way except to come right out with it and say it was …
Hope your Sunday was a good one..
