After a light breakfast we were on the road by 8.30 am and although we had a planned day we did go and look at these two properties that were such a part of history!!!
Then it was a two hour to drive to Atlanta where we met and had lunch with Gracie’s sister and he son...it was a nice family reunion but short as arena had to get back to work.
On the road again going in North Carolina and finally two hours later getting to our small hotel room in the very charming town of Highlands...
The property is very beautiful and we are actually lly in one of the few rain forests in America.....
We relaxed in these chairs for a while
before going into the little town and found a great grocery type restaurant store for a light supper....it seems all this post has been about food and eating..it was not that way!!
