Friday 18th December 2009..another road trip

My friends Norma and Croft invited me to go along with them and two other couples from their RV park on a day trip to Mineral de Pozos, which is an old mining town about 40km away.

The day started out quite foggy but the mist cleared and again another sunny and warm day.

Pozos was a very busy town of about 50000 inhabitants and was the home of the very best silver and gold mines in all Mexico.  After the Revolution of 1910 the town became almost extinct and today there are so many abandoned buildings and it is home now to about 4000 residents.

It was like walking through a town that time forgot and it also has been the location of some famous western movies.  Enjoy the photos….
