Sunday 13th November 2022…a mini road trip!!

THE FAITH INHERITED FROM GRANDPARENTS MOVES THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE TO COME TO SAN MARTÍN DE TERREROS AND THANK YOU YEAR AFTER YEAR FOR THE FAVORS RECEIVED

Year after year thousands of people arrive on horseback, on foot, in trucks or in their own cars in different processions to visit the image of San Martín Caballero , who according to Catholic tradition is protector of the beggars, patron saint of soldiers, merchants, weavers and textile manufacturers, who is venerated in the community of San Martín de Terreros belonging to this municipality.

November 11 is the most important day of the festival, although it always lasts more days, the faithful arrive at the temple located in the area, which, according to tradition, was built by the tireless work of the men and women who carried a stone to take as a donation in the construction of the temple, many carried some sand, they say that the temple was built with it, so many feel proud that the task could be achieved.

Inside the temple, either on their knees or by their own feet, people pray and ask for favors from the image of San Martin Caballero , many others are grateful for the favors obtained, while fulfilling the mandate to go visit him to his temple, in all the main characteristic is the faith that is reflected in the devotion they profess.

Outside the visitor will find hundreds of merchants who offer their products from food to household products, some blankets, as well as sweets, clothes and even parakeets as pets, so after fulfilling the order it is time to stock up with what that is necessary for the house.
