the overnight rain cancelled my tennis yet again Tom has only Saturday to witness my prowess on the courts otherwise he will just have to take my word that I am like a gazelle out there…..
Took Tom to my regular Wednesday afternoon poker and he had fun but must have brought me bad luck I only won 10 pesos……..

Tom and I went to yoga class this morning and we both enjoyed the class Annabel is a great teacher…..
We then went and did chores on the scooter and Tom was not riding the bike just holding it!!!
Whilst doing the run around town we passed the gate to the bull ring for people who do not know San Miguel the bull ring is situated very close to Centro but there are no signs advertising this and if you walked by you would just think another red gate!
This time the gate was open a couple of feet and I stopped the scooter, parked and we went into the complex……we did not see anyone but could hear workers and I was thrilled Tom got to see the ring not many people do and we assumed that the day before there was a wedding and the workers were in the process of taking all the decorations down.
Late this afternoon I took Tom to meet Martha and Iliana, two of my students from three years ago who I meet with every week it is good for them to hear different accents and I know we all enjoyed the time together.
Tonight was the first night of my English class at school..you all know how much I love doing this and I have nine students this year and it is going to an exciting semester….
The photo of me pretending to drink the beer was at dinner last night at a restaurant I have not been to before called La Mar…it was I think the best fish and chips I have ever had!!
It has been raining steadily now for the last five hours and I am quite certain that tennis will be cancelled in the morning!!

Today I took Tom and one of my tennis buddies, Jen on a day trip to the small magic town of Bernal about a ninety minute drive…..
It is the home of the third largest monolith bin the world and you are able to hike up about two thirds of the way…..what a great workout..
The ice cream in the colourful town square was very welcome…

Had a great game of tennis this morning and then saw my student Vanessa before leaving to pick up Tom at the bus station in Querétaro…
It was great we both arrived around the same time and it was good to see him again….
He has been in Costa Rica for several weeks first helping build a school class room in a remote village and then doing a 19 day hike across the country …..
Great to catch up with him and he loves my casita…..we got his dirty clothes in the wash, had a little walk around the neighborhood and went two doors down to the restaurant ……
It is really nice for me to have family here and we have a fun day planned for mañana…

Today was spent getting things planned, organized and ready for my Great Nephew Tom’s arrival tomorrow afternoon……I am picking him up from the bus station in Querétaro and he will stay in my casita whilst I temporarily move to my old casita belonging to my lovely friend Jen, I am about a three minute walk away.
Tom has just finished community work in Costa Rica and I am looking forward to seeing him, I hope he has had a shower…
I have a few things planned before we head to the beach a week on Sunday!!
