A few weeks ago I planted some seeds that I had brought with me from Nanaimo...I had been faithfully watering and watching the what look like weeds grow.........
Before I left on this last trip they were about 10 inches high but to me they just looked like weeds!!!
So imagine my surprise yesterday when I went out on my patio and saw this!!!!!
At the same time I also planted seeds in this planter the red flowers were already there ...now some lovely blue flowers the name of which I do not know!!!
I am very proud of myself!!!!

You should be proud of your new blue flowers! I don't know the name of them either, but they are a vine which blooms and grows on our fence between us and our next door neighbor's house. Maybe Croft will look at your pictures, show them to Norma, and she can tell us the name. You may have to buy a small trellis for the vine as it grows like a weed in a humid and warm environment. Ours will die back and go dormant during our mild winter.
By the way, sorry that your whale shark expedition sort of fizzled out because of Franklin. Beach and I are supposed to be there in late December-early January and hope the temperatures will not be above 90 F.
yes I love the vibrant colors and I am sure Croft will chime in..yes it was sad going there to see the whales but always a next time have great weekend les
The ones at the top of your blog are Blue Morning Glories and Norma says watch them or they will take over your property.
The second blue flowers with the white/yellow centers she does not know the name of but says she has some herself.
Thanks they are growing like crazy almost every day cheers les
Be careful Les, if the Morning Glories get away on you you will be unable to control them and they will go into the neighbour's property.
Well, the Morning Glories I believe came from my seeds and they are a special variety... very large, can't remember the name, but I believe I still have the seed package. ... Okay, just found the seed package... they are called Heavenly Blue morning glories, and the package says "gigantic flowers".... so I think that is them.... :) I don't think they'll get away from you in a pot. Haha.
