Tuesday 4th May 2010…..yesterday’s news…

Yesterday morning I sat and watched the weather change it seems like every 15 minutes….   Sara was very busy in the clinic and I kept myself amused….because nothing happens here the arrival of the float plane is big news…..

and after work a clear sunny patch of sky appeared and we took the boat out for a while.  We went over to Artize Island where Sara dropped me off and she went out about 30 yards and moored the boat then climbed into the kayak to come ashore..

may3 011

how she manages to do this is beyond me…

We walked quite a way around the island looking for glass bottles

may3 010 this was the original site of the Native Community but they had to move due to lack of water.

Tuesday 4th May 2010..The mighty Tigers….no more!!!!!

Hull City officially relegated after draw

Hull City were officially relegated from the English Premier League on Monday as hosts Wigan Athletic secured a 2-2 draw with a dramatic injury-time equalizer at the DW Stadium.

Latics defender Steve Gohouri scored the crucial last-ditch goal that confirmed the Tigers' relegation to the Championship.

Hull went into the clash knowing that only a first away win of the season would keep them mathematically in the top flight.

But survival was practically impossible given their huge goal difference deficit compared to West Ham, the only team they could have drawn level with on points.

Hull's first foray into English football's top flight lasted two seasons.

Sorry to my Family in Hull they must be very sad about this news today……..Long live the BLADES!!!!!

This morning already the weather has changed a dozen times at this moment quite sunny but cool.

Sara is working so I am catching up on computer stuff, reading and then when she finishes work we are going out in the boat…..all is well on the West Coast…

Saturday 1st May 2010…..May day!!

Woke up to sun and a cool wind…Sara had a call this morning and the people that come to the clinic for treatment have to come by boat.

We then packed up for a kayak trip but soon realized that the ocean was too rough for us to go to the tiny island we wanted to go to so we turned around and I was faced with the Class 8 rapid!!!

Congratulations to the Vancouver Canucks beating up the Blackhawks tonight…I know I joke about the lack of repair of the Satellite here but I do feel sorry for Sara to be here for 8 weeks and on call 24/7 not to have any source of TV, music or entertainment is really bad management on behalf of her employers….end of rant….

Sara has cooked a lovely roast for dinner then we are going to watch one of the movies I brought over..

Happy Birthday wishes to Irene…85 years young today!!!!

Thursday 29th April 2010…on the go again

It is a lovely sunny day and I have already had my run and I am taking out Irene for lunch to celebrate her Birthday on May 1st, also hoping Heather and Ken can come.

Tonight is poker night so I look forward to my first game this year, to seeing my buddies and taking as much of their 20 dollars as I can!!

Tomorrow morning I leave for Kyuquot to visit Sara for 12 days.  The journey involves about a three hour car ride to Gold River then a 40 minute float plane ride to Kyuquot.

I look forward to spending time with Sara, even though the Satellite TV is still broken!!!!!  We shall spend lots of time on the water and it really is a small part of paradise.
