TIM MCGRAW LYRICS
(written by Lori McKenna)
You know there's a light that glows by the front door
Don't forget the key's under the mat
When childhood stars shine,
Always stay humble and kind
Go to church 'cause your mamma says to
Visit grandpa every chance that you can
It won't be wasted time
Always stay humble and kind
Hold the door, say "please", say "thank you"
Don't steal, don't cheat, and don't lie
I know you got mountains to climb
But always stay humble and kind
When the dreams you're dreamin' come to you
When the work you put in is realized
Let yourself feel the pride
But always stay humble and kind
Don't expect a free ride from no one
Don't hold a grudge or a chip and here's why:
Bitterness keeps you from flyin'
Always stay humble and kind
Know the difference between sleeping with someone
And sleeping with someone you love
"I love you" ain't no pick-up line
So always stay humble and kind
Hold the door, say "please", say "thank you"
Don't steal, don't cheat, and don't lie
I know you got mountains to climb
But always stay humble and kind
When those dreams you're dreamin' come to you
When the work you put in is realized
Let yourself feel the pride
But always stay humble and kind
When it's hot, eat a root beer popsicle
Shut off the AC and roll the windows down
Let that summer sun shine
Always stay humble and kind
Don't take for granted the love this life gives you
When you get where you're going don't forget turn back around
And help the next one in line
Always stay humble and kind
So I bring heavy rains to Santa Barbara and then to Tucson and now to San Miguel...heavy rains last night and today all day was cool and overcast!!!
With Gregg's help I managed to get Casita Doris finished and I love the way it looks..do you??
This is the outside of the corner house..
My casita is at the end of the brown wall..
My entrance is the last small door and those two windows are mine...
I did some errands in town and it was wonderful to see the iconic main church!!!
This shows the location of the church in red, my casita in blue and the tennis courts in black!!!
I walked to the restaurant where my poker boys have lunch and it was great to see them all again and healthy and happy....we then went to Ray's house for 3 hours of non serious poker.....I did not bring my winning ways from Nanaimo and I went down about 60 pesos!!!
Walked home had a nice salad for dinner and walked about 20 minutes to school....these ladies and gentleman were practicing in the school yard!!
Only 5 of the 9 students showed this evening and two of them were not there on Monday I am waiting for a full class before I take a photo.
I think it was a great class I had printed off for each of them an article about the new President elect and had them in turns read out paragraphs and then we would discuss the article..I think they found it informative and even today I could see they were not so nervous to come to the front of the class and talk...
Home and after a nice shower sat in my new chair with tea no cookies and watched my new TV!!
Yashi Kochi!!!

Les, your Casita Doris looks beautiful. Your Mum above I'm sure thinks so, too. Wherever did you get that neat chair with the foot rest; it is lovely with the carving work! Now, it is time to get your new potted plants to adorn your patio. Pray for us; I'm afraid this country has a hard road ahead.

Hi Dee thanks for the lovely comments this place is so comforting and yes my Mum would love it too...the chair came from my hosts it was too big for their TV room and yes it is perfect to watch those games with my feet up....your country is resilient and will thrive and survive..blessings L
