Monday 9th November 2015…..a drive and a half!!!!

Again a great sleep very comfy bed and down comforter took my time this morning over a light breakfast and then went into town to see the clock performance…as I mentioned yesterday the town of Stratford is named for the Bard and this is the town’s centre piece!!!

So at 10am the figures pop out of the story of the lovers is heard all down main street really cute!!!

Todays drive was to be 155km along this highway

This little guy was at the side of the road and did not move when i stopped i was concerned about his safety even though i only saw about 20 vehicles the whole day i turned around and about 100 yards back found an entrance to a farm drove in and met the owner and told him and he thanked me and went and got his truck and got the wild one!!!

It was a long drive time wise but very beautiful and I arrived in the town of Owhango where i have an airbnb booked for two nights….I met my host Jerome a kind French man and the house is rustic but clean and comfortable

Love these long metal tubs and i was in there very quickly after washing down Little mellow yellow and that is when i noticed the saying on the rear number plate

The main reason for coming to this area is to hike the Tongariro Alpine crossing rated the best one day walk in NZ…19km and tomorrow i have a gentleman coming to pick me up at 7am drive me to the start of the hike and then pick me up at the other end…
