This was to be the last day to see my girls but sad to say Guy is in Hospital again in Tucson so their flight plans have changed…I wish him a speedy recovery and I shall stay here until they return home could be a couple more weeks…

So off I went to Casa Hogar and I hadn’t told the girls I was going to take them swimming…when I picked them up they were ready and waiting and in the car they both asked to go to the bicycles…..I said no look in the bag behind them where I had left their towels and speedo’s…they saw them and their smiles were a mile long they both rushed up to me hugged me and kissed me on the cheek…what a feeling!!!

I gave them them  the choice of the waterslide park or the hot springs with the cave and they both picked the cave…..I had bought earlier in the week a boogie board for when I go to the coast and Paola asked the gate man at the pools if we could take it in with us and he said we could….

The weather was lovely and hot and in 4 hours they only came out of the water twice….once for a bathroom break and the second time to eat their sandwich…

mar5 040

I know I go on a bit about how good my girls are but they have a way of making me so proud….when they were eating their cookies a little blond haired girl was next to them watching them

mar5 041and both Paola and Daniela gave the little girl a cookie!!!

They had so much fun!!!

mar5 033

Had them back to Casa Hogar for 4.30pm and we had a blast…..although it is hard on the nerves to be watching them both and make sure they are safe….

So came home and decided it was going to be a sports night…so started with watching a hockey game then another soccer game and finishing off the night with another hockey game….

What a day…how was yours???

I went to the Tourist office to find out what the celebration was and was told it was a celebration to honour a 16th century hero El Senor de la Conquista..it was a wonderful sight to see this huge square so alive with colour, history and passion…only in Mexico!!!

I received a call this morning from Guy, the owner of the house and sad to say he is not feeling good again and they have cancelled their flight to return home on Sunday.  He is going to go and have more tests so Linda and Guy I wish you all the best….

Spent a lazy afternoon out in the sun then evening went back into town and the celebrations were still going on.

I then went to the theatre again tonight for another play…it was about love for the over 60’s…..not that I am in that age bracket!!!!

Thursday 3rd March 2011….Dentist day for Paola!!!

This morning was the last  tennis time with this particular group and the 2 hours this morning was probably the best we have all played..it was a fitting end.

Came home and did some more sorting and re-packing inside Ramona then at 1.30pm went to Casa Hogar to pick up Paola and Daniela as Paola had the dental appointment.

The girls were waiting for me and they looked so cute in their school uniforms.

mar3 001

…..Paola did not seem bothered about where she had to go….we arrived at the Dentist and I asked Paola if she wanted me to come in with her and she did so Daniela and I sat close to her and took photos…

mar3 003Here she is checking out the instruments!!

mar3 004Still smiling!!

mar3 009

mar3 011Finally the pulled tooth!!

mar3 030

When Sara and I took Paola to a different Dentist a few weeks ago to have another tooth pulled, the injection upset her and she was in quite a bit of discomfort afterwards…so this time Sara had left me a couple of pain pills for her and instructed me to take a bag of ice for afterwards….

Well this dentist was amazing her manner is so wonderful and she swabbed the area but did not give Paola a needle and after a few minutes the tooth came out I could not believe it….Paola was so good and she seemed happy when the Dentist was finished and gave her a little box for the tooth…I was very proud of her!!!!

Did I mention that Dr.Laura only charged me 100 pesos!!!!!   That is like 8 dollars…just incredible I would recommend her to anyone.  Paola did not need a pill or the ice!!!

In the car outside I asked if they wanted to go back to Casa Hogar and they both said no so I figured pure fun was on the agenda so I took them up to the new mall where there is an arcade and games room and let them have 45 minutes of good fun!!

mar3 022

Check out their faces and concentration in this one!!!

Tuesday 1st March 2011……..a busy day!!

Now that I have a date for leaving SMA I have to get cracking and get all those last minute things accomplished and I did a lot of chores today…one of the things I did was to go and pick up all the cushions for Ramona…..the lady recovered 2 large and 2 smaller dining room cushions, one long couch cover and 6 large pillows and cushions, they look great more photos in a couple of days after I scotch guard them and put them in Ramona…   The price for all this work was 900 pesos so for just under $150 dollars I have recovered all the cushions and got some great pillows…I love Mexico….here is a sample..

Mar1 007

Also stopped by the large Tuesday market and bought some fresh vegetables and of course…

Mar1 001Can you believe the price that is about one dollar and twenty cents for one kilo????

Also stopped in at my new found great butcher’s for some chicken breasts and THAT is what it looks like in his counter!!!

Mar1 003

I also bought my last soccer shirt for this trip…it is one of the nicest a black National team shirt!!!

Mar1 011
