Just really found out today about the huge storms in Washington and Oregon States and lucky for me I left when I did otherwise I might have been stranded. The beach here is normally very tame with little wave activity but these waves are directly resulting from the storms further north.

Sometimes somethings have to be said which might not be very popular with everyone and some of those things however unpleasant need to be said. Sometimes there is no way to sugar coat around them to try to make the things that need to be said more palatable. Once in a while the only way is just to be forth right and come out and say what needs to be said. My philosophy, especially in my later years is to be as honest as I can, to say what I think needs to be said and if asked for an opinion will give one. Anyway what I am leading up to is that I want to tell you what I did today even though some people will find this offensive, insensitive and nasty but it needs to be said, so without further procrastination I will tell you what I did today...

I WENT SUN BATHING!!!
!!

Anyway for those still reading I will tell you that my friend had to go to work this morning (yes I know some people have to work) so I took advantage of the lovely day and went down to the beach which is about 100 yards from the house and walked about 3 miles to a bluff where some brave souls were surfing, sat and watched them for a while then walked back. Went into the garden and picked 3 or 4 tomatoes off the vine and made a delicious sandwich and now sitting in the garden reading. All the photos below were of things that I saw on my walk this morning. Have a great day, blessings from sunny California
