Friday 18th December 2015...back on the bike!!!

After a lingering and lovely breakfast I headed back downtown on the bike through the same quiet bike paths and again locked up the bike and then walked around on foot....went through a lovely old mansion grounds that were badly damaged in the earthquake and is still under repairs!!

The river runs through the property and the grounds are really well kept!!

I then went to the Quake museum and it was so interesting to see short movie clips, photographs and learn more of what happened to the city and the surrounding areas!!!
If you want Google the Christchurch earthquake of 2011 and lots of reading there...

It really is quite amazing to walk around down town and see so much new construction high cranes everywhere and the attitude of the locals through out all of this hardship...a resilient town!!!

Lovely sunny weather and a great day......now for dinner, get cleaned up and maybe a movie!!!!
