Sunday 28th February 2021...for the last

Day of the month I just took off on the scooter, it was so warm and sunny and just drove.......

Saturday 27th February 2021...a lovely sunny day

And on the courts at 9 am this morning..it was two hours of good fun, an occasional great shot, a lot of banter all round.....

Did some shopping at a small grocery store afterwards and stayed home the rest of the day doing all sorts of things including....laundry, reading, sun bathing, eating, drinking, watching soccer, moving things around in the casita.......

now ready to watch a soccer game from England.....

Frida is away for the weekend at doggie day care camp

I see her again Monday afternoon.....

Boomer donned the famous Vancouver Canucks hockey jersey to help cheer on his team but unfortunately it did not work they lost again...

Tuesday 25 th February 2020... Day 16!!!

Today was hiking day!!

I did my research and found what I thought would be a great ocean cliff top hike and it was!!

I started out at this lighthouse area...

And I then continued along the cliff tops with amazing views....

Before dropping down to the stunning beach....

In walked to the end of this point..

Some weird rock formations..

There is just something about beaches and oceans that soothe me I guess all those years in Bermuda may have something to do with that!!

On the walk back..

The black circle is the furthest point I went to..

It was hot but I was well prepared.

I reckon I walked around eight miles and it felt really good!!

And my reward!!!!

Shrove Tuesday / Pancake Day

Shrove Tuesday is the day before Lent starts on Ash Wednesday. The name Shrove comes from the old middle English word 'Shriven' meaning to go to confession to say sorry for the wrong things you've done. Lent always starts on a Wednesday, so people went to confessions on the day before. This became known as Shriven Tuesday and then Shrove Tuesday.

The other name for this day, Pancake Day, comes from the old English custom of using up all the fattening ingredients in the house before Lent, so that people were ready to fast during Lent. The fattening ingredients that most people had in their houses in those days were eggs and milk. A very simple recipe to use up these ingredients was to combine them with some flour and make pancakes!

Wednesday 24 th February 2021...been a while

Since we did the completely free Pearson escorted hike...so let’s go....

I have been looking for this dam and Pressa for about a week now since I saw it on You Tube and today I finally found it!!!

Came home and rested for a while and then went and picked up Frida...again so happy to see me and we enjoyed our walk.

Frida decided that because today was my friend Karen’s birthday we should get flowers....

No wonder I am a tad tired tonight...

I have found a good new show watch on Netflix....let me get that tea ready!!!!
