Sunday 20th November 2016....the 9000 feet club!!!!

So I was back to the regular Sunday morning hiking group with my good friend Pierre.....there was 13 in the group today and I reluctantly took Little Bluey, she is very low and on some of the back roads not a happy girl.....anyway we arrived at the small Campo town where we parked and started the hike.....the format of this hiking group formed by Pierre is that we have to reach 9000 feet ..sounds like a lot but you have to remember that San Miguel sits at about 6300 feet..still a good climb...

This shot is looking back on the trail...

I tried the panorama view on my camera!!

I like this shot...

It was all up hill and after about 45 minutes came across this lovely cross..

This shot below is after we passed the cross we hiked up the ridge and looking back the blue circle is the cross...
and the red is where we made it to and had lunch!!!
Part of the group stayed down by the cross and I led this group further up to 9100 feet...we made it!!!!

My buddy Pierre,,,he is an amazing man and I have a lot to thank him for both here and the introduction he gave me to his Cousin
Delwin in South Africa!!!
on the way back down I stopped by these horses and i had some carrots with me and after a few minutes I was able to hand feed the one in the middle!!!!

It was a great hike a good workout and nice to connect with old friends again.....
Whilst I had Little Bluey I took advantage and went and bought some plants for my patio..the cost of everything below which included all the plants and one pot 210 pesos!!!!!
Little Bluey deserved a spa treatment after getting me from Vancouver to here.....
The cost of the full wash inside and out was 45 pesos!!!!!!  The boys got a nice tip!!

I then took her and parked her at the garage and I really do not know when I shall drive her again!!!

Back home sorted out the plants and this is my patio...

I then went to my friend Barry's casa and we watched the big tennis match from London it was a stunning game and can you image how proud Mrs. Murray must be to have both her sons number one in the world!!!!
I was home by 6.00 pm and had left overs which were tasty and then a long hot shower and I will admit to being a tad tired.....so I see a cup of tea and then some reading on my horizon!!!

Looks like a great hike! Glad that everyone enjoyed themselves and that a handful of you made it all the way up to 9000ft. Now you need to go hike the Toluca Volcano, it goes up to over 15,000ft.

Love the prices there in Mexico, you did well with your flowers and pots.
