This morning Linda, Connie and myself with Jaime as our driver and tour guide drove us to the lovely city of Guanajuato…..I have been there before but not for a long time so it was nice to go back and it was also nice not to drive so I could check out the country side and the views……
If you Google the town GTO tells you a lot about the history and it is a city with 8 km of dark traffic allowed tunnels!!!
Our first stop was the top of the hill with the famous statue(information on him should be in the Google
The views from this vantage point are really quite lovely like an artist’s pallet with all the colors!!!
Connie, Jaime and Linda!!!
This lovely shot below is only five minutes from down town..
So while these folks had lunch
I did a walking tour of down town…this is a totally different town to San Miguel having a more European feel to it…it is also a big University town so perhaps more vibrant than our town…enjoy the walking tour!!!!
The X is the statue we were at earlier…
Beso means kiss!!!! Kissing alley!
We enjoyed our stay here and then we drove to another famous town Delores Hidalgo Goggle this to see why it is famous and this is the church where it all took place!!!!
Very beautiful inside..
This town is also well known for it’s pottery and what two women do you know that could pass up a store like this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We were back home by 6 o clock and it was a really nice day…
Tonight a quiet night at home!!!!!!!
Yashi kochi!!!!

Great day Les! I love GTO and the young crowds in the centro. And you can almost hear the bells ringing the call to Revolution in Father Hidalgo's church.
I know you are so right but I also remember what went down with you there too cheers L
Oh yes, the little brush with the tunnel.
