Tis your lucky day…you get another of those rare and FREE Pearson tours!!!!
A bit long so get into a comfy chair and a cup or glass of your favorite beverage and away we go….as usual tips are welcome mail them to me please!!!
First of all let me say that this area is just spectacular and it is a haven for hikers and photographers but it is impossible to climb every rock just as it impossible to photograph every crevice!!!!
I had done some good research and picked the hikes and places I wanted to go to for the next two days and today I was on the road by 8am for the beautiful drive
the drive took me through the town of Sedona but it looked very touristy and lots of folks walking the streets already…as I mentioned yesterday it is a huge long weekend here in the States…..
after about 35 minutes I found the parking lot I wanted and started this hike…
This was a great idea to get on the trail early as I saw very few people on the way in..a different story on the way out……just a stunning hike!!!
The trail ended here it was possible to go further but it meant wading in about 3 feet of water something I was not interested in doing…..I stopped and had a sandwich and it was lovely, quiet and thought provoking!!!
It was a great hike…I then took the road back towards Sedona with these sights on the way…
I am so glad I did this hike first because the traffic on the road coming into town was backed up for ages with all the holiday traffic.
Do you think I am suffering from tennis withdrawals!!!!
My next point of interest..
I then stopped in at a Ranger station and this wonderful volunteer gave me directions and advise for my day tomorrow and finally my last stop of the day was here…
It was a great day and I was back home by 5 o clock…this is a lovely home stay and Diane has told me her house is my house and tonight I went on a cooking spree….cooked pork chops, chicken breast and made a nice dinner with baked potatoes…the chicken breast I will freeze for the road…..
After a nice long hot shower sat down for another hockey game from New York…and now almost time for bed.
Sorry to my Brother Malc, his home town soccer team Hull, that I wrote about a few days ago, were relegated to the lower tier of soccer in England this is a huge blow for the club, fans and my Bro…..it also means the loss of millions of pounds in television revenue…here the players are consoling each other!!!
Well how was the tour!!!!!
Stay tuned a fun day coming along tomorrow….
I did realize that today was a day that would have been nice to share with someone!!!!
Yashi Kochi!!!!
