Drove about one hour this morning to
where I planned to do three hikes that I had not done before….
The first one was to a small waterfall called the hole in the wall…I wonder why!!!!
It was only about a ten minute hike to it
In 1960 they blasted this hole to allow water to flow through to the town’s main water supply!!!
I then went back up the trail and around over the top crossed this log
and came out on the other side of the hole
and then I walked downstream about 500 yards and came to another wonderful waterfall
Back in the car and went about 15 minutes to the next trail head
This was an easy hike and it brought back memories of my favorite hike in San Miguel when I go to the deep canyon with the suspension bridge..because I came across one on this hike
This trail led to wonderful views or Sprout lake!!!
This was a nice spot for the first of my sandwiches!!!
Next was Weiner Falls, a funny name, but I found this hike on the internet and it was described has a hidden gem and I think it was do you!!!!
A drive along a narrow logging road
and then maybe a 15 minute hike, by the way I was way out in the boonies, and then finally down this bank holding onto the ropes…
This was just a delightful waterfall..had it all to myself and had my second sandwich here…enjoy!!!
I then found a trail that went to the top of the falls
This really was a great day and on the way home I had to stop and get this because it is an unwritten rule if you visit three waterfalls in one day this is the reward!!!!
Tonight after dinner Edith, Ross and Stephen, friends from across the street came over for a visit, chat and to watch the end of the basketball game!!!!!
Yashi Kochi!!!!
