Another good sleep till 8am and I could tell from the room that the seas were rough today and they were!!! I did take another pill just in case.
First on the agenda today was some exercise and I went to the walking deck and proceeded to do 8 laps of the ship which is just under 3 miles!!!
The Captain announced that the seas would be high today with swells of 12 feet and winds up to 30 mph..
I wanted to participate in as much as I could and after breakfast I first went to a Memory seminar given by the guy that did the magic and illusion show a couple of nights ago…it was about keys to help improve your memory and it certainly worked for me because within 10 minutes of leaving the seminar I left my book in the restaurant, could not remember what show I was going to next and the biggie I lost my key card so I had to go to reception and get a new card…some memory!!!!!
There is a penalty shoot out contest here tomorrow I should enter..
The kid’s area at the back of the ship..
Back at my room my steward Joel is making a zoo of my room!!
This afternoon I went to another comedy show with the stars just doing sketches from audience suggestions…they were very funny!!
Did some reading as the library book I have taken out has to be returned by tomorrow at 5pm.
Time then for a dip in the hot tub and then shower, supper and to the evenings entertainment…first off was a game show called ``can you do it in a minute``..I must admit I have never heard of this show but it was participation by the passengers and it was a good laugh.
I then stopped into the casino feeling a bit lucky..I had 30 dollars allotted for my gaming and sat down at a blackjack table and I lost the first hand, lost the second hand and then won just about every other hand I have never had a run like that before and can you believe I walked out 300 dollars richer after only about 25 minutes!!!! That pays for my scooter hire, the 12 dollars a day gratuities and the gifts I bought in Bermuda…..I am one lucky guy!!!
My final show of the day was another show by the comedian and again he had some good jokes!!
So it was a full and an enjoyable day at sea.
I managed to locate from my old folders some photos of Bermuda….
So you saw the tennis courts here are some photos from then!!
From the soccer pitch!!
I was in charge of the tours and each year we went to a different city in the Sates on tour playing one game!!
An old girl friend…poor Val a few days before this was taken she had a motor cycle accident and broke her left wrist and leg!!!!
One of the best jobs I had in Bermuda was for a few months I was Bodyguard for the American Consul general…he was an awesome man and treated me so well and his wife took care of me at all functions they attended.
When my parents came to visit me the Consul invited them over for tea!!!
My Mum and my first Bermuda car!!
I later moved up in the car world to owning an MGB convertible!!!
Lastly this was taken outside of barracks!!
Hope you enjoyed my trip down memory lane!!!
