Thursday 17th June 2010…. A special treat…

For those regulars readers you will know that occasionally I treat you to one of those World famous FREE Pearson escorted guided tours…well yesterday it was the turn of the Master…Big Brother Malc’s tour of some of the beautiful English countryside all within 90 minutes drive of his home.

So as the English custom allows sit back with a cuppa and a biscuit and come with us all on our thrilling and very sunny tour!!!!!!!

The last few photos above were taken at Robin Hood’s Bay, really no where near Sherwood Forest, but an incredible lovely town nestled on the rolling hills and down to the ocean, also steeped in rich and ancient history BUT for my Sara a place to buy a pair of WELLIES!!!!!!

The last time Sara went near to a Victoria Hotel tea room it cost her many dollars….High tea at the Empress on Vancouver island in October, this one is just as lovely.

Please Google and read about this magnificent Town and Abbey!!

This area is a must see for anyone travelling in this part of the country.

Down town Whitby..

The Lonely Planet guide book states that at the Magpie restaurant in Whitby they serve the best Fish and Chips in the world!!!!  They were right!!!!!!   the desserts weren’t bad either.

This windmill is 5 minutes from Janet and Mal’c home.

The last few days of pampering Sara with breakfast in bed, making sure her clothes for the day are laid out at the foot of her bed when she gets up at 9.45am, having her breakfast and daily newspaper  on the table and doing her laundry all took it’s toll on me last night and on the drive home I just needed some more rest but does Sara let me sleep peacefully???  Not a chance….Janet is a little miffed at the photo I put on the blog yesterday of her and threatened that if I did not put these on the blog she would not let me watch the soccer game today……so see how cruel some people are to me!!!!
