Yesterday I was again lucky to have perfect sunny and warm weather as i started my day at 7am with my usual walk through the village then into the countryside.
We had planned another day out this time to the historical and beautiful city of York.
On the drive we passed this lovely small Hamlet.
We drove to the outskirts of York parked the car and took the bus into the city.
As usual we started the tour with a stop at Marks and Spencers for the Latte fix me up!!
Walked through the local park filled with people taking advantage of the hot weather.
Next stop was a one hour cruise on the river Ouse.
We were really enjoying this day and the high light was a tour inside the incredible Gothic and historical York Minster. This is worth a Google visit to learn about this great building.
The stained glass inside this church is remarkable and really the camera cannot do it justice!!
There were many soldiers around as they were practicing for a parade on Saturday.
Don’t know how Malc had done it but he arranged for the Lord Mayor and his Lady to come and greet us!!!
An incredible intricate wall…
We then walked on the exterior walls of the city.
We finished our day here..
a funky little street…
We stopped on the way home at a great restaurant and it was the perfect ending to yet another in the long line of great days!!!!
