Happy St.Patrick’s day!!!!!
Patton staggered home very late after another evening with his drinking buddy, Paddy. He took off his shoes to avoid waking his wife, Kathleen.
He tiptoed as quietly as he could toward the stairs leading to their upstairs bedroom, but misjudged the bottom step. As he caught himself by grabbing the banister, his body swung around and he landed heavily on his rump. A whiskey bottle in each back pocket broke and made the landing especially painful.
Managing not to yell, Patton sprung up, pulled down his pants, and looked in the hall mirror to see that his butt cheeks were cut and bleeding. He managed to quietly find a full box of Band-Aids and began putting a Band-Aid as best he could on each place he saw blood.
He then hid the now almost empty Band-Aid box and shuffled and stumbled his way to bed.
In the morning, Patton woke up with searing pain in both his head and butt and Kathleen staring at him from across the room.
She said, "You were drunk again last night weren't you?"
Patton said, "Why you say such a mean thing?"
"Well," Kathleen said, "it could be the open front door, it could be the broken glass at the bottom of the stairs, it could be the drops of blood trailing through the house, it could be your bloodshot eyes, but mostly ..... it's all those Band-Aids stuck on the hall mirror.
Had a great sleep and the breakfast of fresh fruit, orange juice and scrambled eggs was just what I needed and I was on the road by 9.30am and off into uncharted territory!!
The roads are all single lane and not much traffic
I eventually have to go all the way to T!!!!
This is the small town that I was heading for
It is the most southerly of the 3 lagoons where the whales come to and I saw this hotel right at the entrance
I checked the rooms out here and enquired about the whale watching and said I would come back as I wanted to check out the other two hotels in town but I was soon back where I started and booked a room for one night for 800 pesos….as an aside here..I am usually pretty frugal and always looking for deals but at times I think I deserve to be treated to a higher standard and this was one of the times do you think I got a good deal…good Wi-Fi and this is my room
and my view!!!
and from the outside
I was soon walking the beach which went on for about 2 miles
I thought this was like an Arizonian scene checkout the RV!!
I thought my RV days were over but as I walked past the RV the man came out he was Mexican and he asked me I think if I could help him….it was windy and he was having trouble getting his awning in….kicked back to my Ramona days and I knew exactly how to get it back in..he had no idea..it took me about 5 minutes he shook my hand and thanked me!!
It was a nice walk and then I came back to the room for a snack and then walked into the sleepy little village and checked out the main square and the church!!
Back to my sun deck for refreshments and reading and listening to music!!
It started to get cloudy and cool
and no sun set.
It no time at all is was 6.30pm so I had a sandwich for supper then a great hot shower and now getting ready to watch a movie on the computer.
I am planning to be at the office by 8am tomorrow to see if conditions are good for the boat to go out and try see the whales!!!!
This photo is of Carolyn and her Brother taken a couple of weeks ago in Texas!!
