Had a great sleep oopps cannot start like that!!!!
The sun woke me up this morning…is that better??
Anyway I packed up with food and drinks and extra clothes and Bonita and I headed into town around 10am….it is 18 km to the centre and I found a great place to park for the day and the first place I went to was
For 50 pesos it was an amazing ride!!
You can see the cables on the left and the top of the hill is the destination!!
The view from the top!!!
The church at the summit
The view on the cable car going back down!!!
The next place I went to was Mina El Eden…please Google this and read all the history of the mine…my photos inside didn’t turn out too well. I had a guide all to myself and I did manage to understand some of what he was telling me…it was really a fabulous tour and the mine and the production and the suffering that went on there incredible!!!
I then did a big long walking tour of the El Centro!!!
This is a 5 star hotel built around a bull ring!!!
Street scenes!!
You know I just had to buy some of these!!!
20 pesos for the small basket in the middle!!
Yes Paula I found the bakery!!!
This guy was sitting here having his lunch about 35 feet up!!!
I am not a great fan of museums but glad I went to this one in an abandoned Monastery!!!
The highlight was the Mask Museum!! Over 2000 masks!!
The cable car from down below!!
It was a long walk back to Bonita but a drink and a treat from the bakery awaited me!!
The ride back to the park was OK and I got back just before 6pm….it was a great day!!!
Had a lovely hot shower some soup for supper and now tea and a movie!!!!!
Hope you enjoyed Zacatecas!!!!!

Love yr blog, it is very interesting! This is quite the trip. We hear so much negative about Mexico and traveling there. It is an adventure seeing and reading. thanx..
Oh, no!!! Another bakery! That is not the one I recommended but, hey, two bakeries are better than one!!! :o) Loved seeing the city again. We have many of the same shots. It is lovely, isn't it? Very non-touristy, too, which is very nice. Thanks for the memories!
