It is now 4pm Sunday afternoon and I am safely parked in the Rv park in San Miguel, more about that in my post tonight. This is the post and photographs about yesterday.

It is Saturday night about 8pm and I am settled in for the night at a Pemex gas station just outside a small city Called Le Piedad and I have no internet so I am writing this in Microsoft words then will copy and paste it when I get a connection on Sunday.
I left Villa Corna around 1pm and had a drive through some very attractive produce growing areas. It seems the main items were white onions, cabbage and sugar cane. For about 25 miles I skirted the southern end of Lake Chapela and some of the scenery with the mountains in the background were a little similar to the Okanogan Valley in Central B.C.
This trip was not on the main toll highways so I went through many small towns and it appears they all have their own beautiful churches and character. The photos are just a few of the places I did stop.
The first neat story was of the very small village that I was going through and the church looked neat so I managed to get off the road and park and walk back to it. In the square by the church was the lady playing the guitar, I do believe she was a Sister, and the three lovely young ladies. I smiled and said hello and the Sister came to me and shook my hand and I think she told me the three girls were writing down instructions for their catechism. I asked if it was permissible to take the photographs and they all smiled and really enjoyed looking back at the picture of them on the camera and of course candy was distributed to them as well. What a lovely encounter.
The next city was a much bigger city called Zamora and I, although it was really Ramona’s fault, managed to get quite lost. It is quite the ordeal in a strange city unable to really converse and try to find directions, as well as going down some side streets but I am proud to say we did find our way out with out too much hassle.
The next town that looked interesting where I stopped was called Ecuandureo and again I parked outside of the town and walked into the town square this was around 5pm and the square was just a buzzing. The twin peaks of the church dominate the square and the church was just as beautiful on the inside as it was on the outside. The local people were out in full force and it was the end of the market day and everyone was very inquisitive, I don’t think many gringo’s visit here, but all very friendly.
I was now looking to find somewhere to stop and fulfill my promise to myself to not drive again in the dark and just past the centre of the town I came across this pemex station and it looked a good place to stay with a large area in the back dark and quiet and I feel safe and am just going to have a shower then tea and a movie.
I am about 120 miles away from my destination San Miguel so anticipating getting there early afternoon. I have heard so much about this city and I am looking forward to my week’s stay there.
