Just a couple of photos of the small RV park in San Miguel. It is in a small compound and is really a small tennis club with 3 courts. the courts are about 30 feet from Ramona. As is the chicken coup and when I looked there was a fresh egg there. Also from the park I can see the top of one of the churches and the bells toll every 30 mins, quite a nice really.
I haven't had chance to explore going to later on tonight but the drive into town was a lovely one thing and I noticed immediately how friendly and courteous the drivers are.
The drive into the park was a little hairy!!! I had good directions but knew the entry was through a very small gate and is located as i said above close to a church. Of course the streets are small, cobbled and narrow and it was a challenge to get into the park but with the help of the very friendly manager managed to get Ramona safely settled.
The only other point to mention is how completely lost I got this morning. Cannot blame Ramona for this and in all truth cannot blame myself. The signs in Mexico are not the best in the world and they have a habit of being worn and hard to see but today they signs I was following to SMA were fine until I got to a glorrietta (roundabout) the sign indicated for me to go straight so I did and then found myself in a small side street and really had a hard time getting back. When I did I re-traced the round about again and I double checked the signs and it did say straight so I did and of course you know what happened!!!!!! back agin to the this round about that I was becoming very friendly with but this time I turned left and of course I was on the right road. Next came a 5 way stop...5 roads to choose and of course no sign at all. That was a little annoying. i have noticed before that just when things are going great the signs just dry up, I think somebody steal them toi confuse us Gringos!!!! Anyway it was a short but difficult driving day but smiling about it now.
Now looking forward to being grounded for a week, I can put some knick knacks out and make Ramona look homey!! This is I know is going to be a great stay...
