DAY TWO!!!!!!!

Day two of our road trip...breakfast was buffet style and quite good..we had an appointment for a tour at 10 am and walked down to the dock where we boarded this bus..

For a two hour tour which can only be described as amazing.....the tour leader was fabulous and most of the trip we were singing one Beatle hit after another....

If you go to You Tube and enter Paul McCartney carpool karaoke and watch the video it is 23 minutes long but it is of all the places we went this morning...

I look angry here but assure you I was not...

.....after seeing all the houses and hearing all the stories we went to the famous cavern which is where the group started on their road to incredible stardom!!

We stayed about 30 minutes listening to live music...it was such a great tour and I am sure I will never listen to a Beatle song again without thinking of this tour and remembering some of the stories.

Next was a ride on this boat.....

For a trip on the Mersey and again go to You Tube and listen to Jerry and the Pacemakers sing.  Ferry across the Mersey......what a blast and some shots from the boat.

Our last tour of the day was to the iconic soccer stadium of Liverpool FC....

..they are one of the most respected and revered teams in the world and the tour was great we went into the changing rooms and also were told many stories of their history.. a fabulous tour!!

This is me in the manages chair for a news conference after the game...

We took a local bus home to the hotel where we went down for dinner and then into the pub to watch the England versus Columbia soccer game.....nail biting stuff it went into penalty shoot outs but England survived to advance to the next round and play Sweden on Saturday....

So a busy great day!!
