Today was stream train riding
day!!
It was a lovely ride through forests.
Everyone loves to wave at trains
This was a great trip and at one end of the journey we visited a train Museum.
I come from a family background of train workers. My Dad started his working life as a fireman
shovelling the coal
into the boilers
this is a very famous train my Dad used to fire up!!
Then my Dad’s Dad, my Grand Dad also worked on the railways he was a guard.
So as you can imagine the whole experience was just wonderful.
We also had a walk through another typical county village
Check out the thatched roof!!
Some one more knowledgeable than my brother or me will be able to tell if this church is Saxon or Norman. One group built churches with spires and one group without???

This is the village of Goathland where the series is made and when we were there they were actually shooting a scene!!
