Confession time…. I didn’t get up till 8.45am this morning and felt so guilty I went immediately and did laundry.
Took the plunge and went in to Guadalajara on the bus and it worked out great getting there in about a 30 minute bus ride for four and a half pesos! I found my way to the Centro and with a tourist map did all the sights and I really enjoyed myself. Although the city is huge and traffic heavy there did not seem to be too many people around.
The sounds and smells of the indoor market were amazing and the churches were just incredible and to think that they were built so many years ago. We have nothing in Canada that old.
I did get on the wrong bus coming back and realized it and got off and eventually found my way back on to the right area and got on the right bus but not before I had found this outdoor store selling full or half cooked rotisserie chickens. I bought a half one cut up with roast potatoes, tortillas and sauce (no I did not eat the sauce) for 33 pesos.
Arrived home about 5pm and after collecting the laundry off the line, showered and had dinner, which was lovely.
So another great day the only thing of a sad nature for me was that I did not get an e-mail from my friends, so don’t know what is happening there.
I was just adding up I have been on the road now 48 days it seems such a long time ago and yet it also seems like it is going by so fast.
