Wednesday 15th February 2017...who would have thought????

That in this centrally located town at 6500 feet and a desert you can go out for a boat cruise!!!!!!

My little hiking group that I started a couple of weeks ago were hiking around the Pressa last Friday when we met Ronaldo..we talked and he offered to take us on a tour of the lake so one of the ladies in the group did the arrangements and we met this morning at 10 am......here is Ronaldo coming to get the 4 of us...

and away we go..what a beautiful sunny and warm morning!!!

There are some very expensive homes on the banks...

Casting his nets!!!

We stopped at this island and took a walk...

There in the middle of nowhere was this lovely aqueduct!!

Ronaldo told us that it was built over 50 years ago...

The ladies  told me that this was a rare sighting but I forget the name of the bird!!

Another unusual home...

and who would have imagined a sail boat in San Miguel??
and finally a meeting of the pelicans!!!

This was a very different and wonderful  way to spend a morning we were gone way over 2 hours and the charge???    70 pesos per person well worth it!!!

For me it was straight to poker where my winning ways continue this time a whopping 30 pesos!!!

Tonight was my English class and as always on Wednesday's they tell of the acts of pay it forward they do every week......they are just amazing students Love em!!!!!!!!

Yashi Kochi!!!

I figured there would be a business opportunity there on the presa. Imagine being able to rent a small boat and go exploring for a few hours! Ronaldo is on the ball! Great fun and awesome pictures!

We did not explore the lake as we had no car, but we found little or no info about the lake also. We wondered if it had a malecon and was there a picnic area as well. Like Peter says it is a great business opportunity waiting to happen. Cheers Les it looks nice.

Ps, our pressa by Azteca was were we tried to find the access to walk around but never did even though we saw kids and dogs swimming there.
