So continuing on I met Eileen at her residence yesterday morning at 11am.
It was lovely to see her again and she took me inside and showed me the beautiful facility and her 2 bedroom apartment. Eileen has suffered many hospital visits and set backs but her spirit is unfailing!!
We went out for lunch
and caught up on everything and then I took her back home said goodbye but was happy to learn she and her daughter are coming to Nanaimo next Thursday for the day, so we shall meet then….
I continued on and felt the need for a snooze and some sun and found this little gem just down the road!!
After a nice rest stop it was onto
and the concert!!!!
The concert was so uplifting I have never seen so many happy and smiling faces since leaving Casa Hogar and my girls!!!!!
The professionalism was top notch and I am so glad I was able to fit this into my schedule!!!
This was one happy kid!!!!!
After the concert I drove for about one hour and found a nice quiet place to spend the night, the usual tea and cookies and watched a Criminal Minds DVD.

The road down to Hope goes along the rapid and mighty Fraser River and goes through 7 tunnels!!!

It was about a 10 minute walk on a good trail to the bridge and it was very impressive, the views from the bridge…
I marvelled at the engineering….
Continued along the river side
until I reached Highway 5 the main highway to Vancouver.
At the moment I am about 30 minutes and a couple of miles away from the Ferry terminal where Sara is due to arrive…..we are going to stay at her Sister’s for the weekend and visit with Sara’s twin brother who is on holiday from his home in Malaysia……so if no contact for the weekend, no worries, will post when I can…..wish you all a great and happy weekend!!!
