A catastrophe happened last night I accidently sat on my Elton Pearson, 6 year old Dollar Store glasses…..
This morning was the first time in 5 months I had woken up to gloomy skies and cooler temperatures, had to happen I guess.
My plan for today was to leave the RV park and go park for the day in Zion Park parking lot and do my hike.
The hike I had chosen for today was
Angels’ landing!!
It started out innocently enough..
In the photo below the mountain top on the right is the summit I hoped to reach.
So grab a drink, sit back and fasten your seat belts and lets go!!!!!!
See the people in the middle on the ledge, that is where we are heading.
This is where we are heading for now.
Yes those trees right on the top!!!
Still hanging on tight!!
The TOP!!!!!!! What incredible views!!
Coming down is sometimes harder than going up.
Just as I got here the rain started to come down so I was lucky I was off the steep slopes before it rained.
The rain.
This climb took me 4 hours and truly was one of the most beautiful, scary and incredible hikes I have ever done and one long to be remembered.
I was a bit sneaky went back to the RV park and showered and came into the lobby to post this.
I am now on my way to the scenic highway 12 and it will take me 4 days to get to Salt Lake City.
A very Happy Easter Sunday to everyone…
