I do believe that the guardian angel that travels with me (Thank you Heather) and the good wishes of my friends keeps me safe and looked after.
I left my beachfront home this morning at 9am for the drive to Zihuatanejo, now abbreviated to Zit, and the drive was about 4 hours of very slow, curvy and narrow roads. I found my way to the Rv parks listed in my book and as I suspected they were full with no openings. Also mentioned in the book was Villas Los Arcos, which may take in one RV. I located this property quite close to the RV parks and knocked on the door and met the owner Dave and his charming wife Nancy and asked for a space and he said sure we can fit you in.
Villas Los Arcos is a very upscale and beautiful residence as you can tell from the photos. Dave and Nancy life on the downstairs part and they rent the upper stories out. The pool area and grounds are very lovely. Where I am, really the parking lot, which they are not sure what to do with at this time. So Ramona is very happy she has full hook ups, a very clean bathroom and shower and the whole lot is ours no one else here. I have access to the pool and this evening as I was sitting reading Dave knocked on my door and invited me into the big house to play Mexican train (a dominoes game) with his daughter and son in law and we played for three hours.
I am located about 150 yards from one of the nicest beaches I have seen and where the sunset was lovely. The walk there is through a small crocodile sanctuary and this is such a great place.
I took a local bus right outside the gate into town and had a quick walk around then went to a huge supermarket and stocked up with groceries and came back for the sunset.
I already knew I was going to enjoy this place and Ixtapa is the next huge town just around the bay.
Have already decided I want to come back so I am going to book here for the month of February next year.
I just feel so blessed to be travelling so far from home and to be safe and to meet such great people. I did not think when I left this morning that I would be in such lush and beautiful surroundings.
Going to stay at least a couple of days, thanks for the good wishes, Pura Vida
