Sunday 2nd November 2014…another busy day!!!

Pierre could not attend the Sunday morning hike so I went with the larger group to

There was about 14 of us and it was a perfect day for a hike into the beautiful canyons!!!!

The above memorial signifies the ashes of a former hiking group member from about 9 years ago he asked for his ashes to be left here in between two canyons….it was fitting as this is the Day of the Dead weekend and we all placed a small stone…a lovely touch.

The hike was quite stunning with the canyons only 20 minutes from the hustle of the city…

It was a great hike!!!!

The festivities are still on and took in a few including a great lecture at a private home and I learned a lot about the traditions of this weekend and how important they are to the indigenous people!!!

A really fun weekend and the town was flooded with many tourists and so many happy children…blessings to you all!!!
