Pierre could not attend the Sunday morning hike so I went with the larger group to
There was about 14 of us and it was a perfect day for a hike into the beautiful canyons!!!!
The above memorial signifies the ashes of a former hiking group member from about 9 years ago he asked for his ashes to be left here in between two canyons….it was fitting as this is the Day of the Dead weekend and we all placed a small stone…a lovely touch.
The hike was quite stunning with the canyons only 20 minutes from the hustle of the city…
One of our leaders and my tennis buddy Barry..tell me would not follow a man dressed like this anywhere!!!!!!
It was a great hike!!!!
The festivities are still on and took in a few including a great lecture at a private home and I learned a lot about the traditions of this weekend and how important they are to the indigenous people!!!
A really fun weekend and the town was flooded with many tourists and so many happy children…blessings to you all!!!
Yashi Kochi!!!
