We left the Airbnb this morning by 8.30am and had a two hour drive to down town New Orleans...we found a car park and for five bucks parked for up to the hours..we were very close to the Visitors centre and Gracie went in and go the scoop on what to do for the few hours we wanted to stay...
We first walked around the Bourbon Street area...
The big Mississippi....
Then got on the hop on hop off tram
, three dollar fare each, and went around the downtown and got off here...
Had a quick bite to eat..walked down some lovely streets to the famous cemetery....
Back to the trolley stop and one came right away back to where we started...
Then on the walk back to the car we saw this sign....and these are the local delicacy......served warm and taste like a wonderful warmed white sugar coated donut!!!
Then it was on the interstate for four hours passing first through..
And into ...
We found a nice motel almost downtown Montgomery, Alabama..where we got settled in..and then walked across the street for a great fish sandwich!!
So a smashing day, as they say in 🏴!!!!!
